I've lived in 8 apartments in 5 years. I never renovated a single one.

But I learned something surprising: you don't need to move walls to change how a room feels. Most of what I thought was "bad feng shui" was just bad furniture placement. And the fixes cost $0.

My first apartment had the bed against the only wall it fit on. Which meant the headboard was under a window, the door opened directly onto the foot of the bed, and the mirror from the closet reflected everything.

Every feng shui article I read told me to move the bed. But where? The room was 10×12 feet. There was literally no other wall long enough.

"Move your bed to the commanding position" is great advice — if your apartment has a commanding position.

So I started experimenting. I couldn't move the bed, but I could change the headboard. I couldn't relocate the door, but I could add a footboard. I couldn't get rid of the closet mirror, but I could cover it at night.

Small changes. Real results. And none of them required a renovation, a landlord's permission, or a single crystal.

This site is everything I learned across 8 apartments in 3 cities — tested, documented, and shared because I wish someone had told me this sooner.

📌 What I learned along the way

01

The 70% rule

A 70% improvement that you actually do is better than a 100% solution that requires construction. Most of my best fixes were imperfect — but they worked.

02

Light changes everything

Before you buy a single feng shui cure, change your lighting. A $15 floor lamp in the right corner made more difference than any crystal ever could.

03

Your bed position is 80% of bedroom feng shui

Everything else (colors, decor, storage) is fine-tuning. Get the bed right first. If you can't move it, add a headboard that feels solid.

04

Clutter isn't just visual — it's emotional

Every pile of unsorted mail, every box you haven't unpacked, every piece of furniture that's just "storage" — it's weighing on you more than you realize.
