Mirror Facing the Bed? The 30-Second Fix That Actually Works

If your mirror faces your bed, you don't need to buy anything or move furniture. Here's the simplest fix.

Why It's a Problem

When you're half-asleep and see movement in a mirror, your brain's threat-detection system activates. It can't immediately tell it's just your reflection. This fragments your sleep — even if you don't consciously notice.

The 30-Second Fix

Just angle the mirror 15 degrees away from the bed. That's it. Even a slight angle prevents your sleeping body from being reflected.

Other Options

Cover it at night: A scarf or cloth over the mirror before bed. Free.

Close the closet door: If the mirror is on a closet. Free.

Move it: Relocate to a side wall. Free.

What NOT to Do

Don't buy a "feng shui mirror cure." Don't hang a bagua mirror indoors. Don't put a plant in front of it (it looks cluttered). Just angle it slightly — it's free and it works.
